Mr. Michael Zeman, Principal

Dear Longwood Elementary Community,
I am incredibly honored and excited to be the principal of Longwood Elementary. I look forward to getting to know each of you and your children. The responsibility of providing a safe and supportive learning environment is not something that I take for granted. I will work to earn your trust so that together we can guide your children to reach their highest academic levels while ensuring they also build the skills necessary to be respectful and responsible members of their school community.

I am coming to Longwood Elementary from Centennial Elementary School where I have been the principal for seven years. Before that I was the assistant principal at Plano Middle School after teaching for eight years in LaGrange. During that time I have come to develop a strong belief that every student has the ability to succeed and deserves the very best from every adult in their life. I look forward to earning my place in this amazing school community so we can continue to give our students the best opportunity to learn and find future success.

My nearly 20 years in education has allowed me to have a deep appreciation for the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” An entire community of people must provide for and interact positively with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment. This can be challenging in today’s world where we are all faced with increasingly busy schedules and societal demands, however, it also means that it is more important than ever for us to work together to support your children so they can have more options in the future than we could have ever imagined. I am honored that I get to take on this challenge with you and look forward to strengthening the impact of the Longwood School community.

Ms. Tiauna King, Student Services Coordinator

Dear Longwood Elementary Community,

It is a privilege to introduce myself as the Student Services Coordinator at Longwood Elementary. I am excited to become part of a school community that values connection, growth, and student success. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and encouraged each day, and I look forward to partnering with families and staff to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

I come to Longwood with 12 years of experience in education, serving as a K–5 Learning Behavior Specialist and Early Childhood teacher in Naperville district 203, and K–5 SEL self-contained teacher at Builta Elementary. In addition to my work in the classroom, I have also had the opportunity to mentor educators across Illinois  and serve as a board member for an outside organization that supports teachers. These experiences have strengthened my belief that every child deserves patience, support, encouragement, and high expectations.

As both an educator and a parent, I understand the importance of strong relationships between schools and families. I look forward to building lasting partnerships with the Longwood community and supporting students as they continue to grow, learn, and succeed for years to come.
