Caldecott Winner to Speak to 2nd Grade

Reported by donna_kouri@ipsd.org on 4/8/21

We are thrilled that our 2nd grade students will celebrate Earth Day by attending a virtual author visit with author Carole Lindstrom and illustrator Michaela Goade as they speak about their award winning picture book We Are Water Protectors. This January, Michaela Goade became the first Native American artist to win the Caldecott Medal. She received this honor for We Are Water Protectors. Students, even those not in 2nd grade, can purchase a copy of this book and receive an autographed bookplate.
