Art
Art Curriculum:
The art curriculum is based on the continuation of learning new art techniques, and the elements and principles of art
from kindergarten through fifth grade. Each year builds upon the concepts from the
previous year. Students are encouraged to work creatively and independently and to develop
an appreciation for their artwork as well as others.
Students will explore various mediums of art in two and three dimensional forms such as:
tempera paint, watercolor paints, colored pencils, markers, crayons, oil pastels, chalk,
and paper mache. Areas of study include drawing, painting, sculpture, and design and
crafts.
