From the Principal's Desk

Welcome to Longwood Elementary School. I hope that as you peruse this website, you will have a sense of the strong learning community we have at Longwood. The students and staff here are focused on making each day a great day to learn. In fact, we start our day with that mantra every day. As you read more about Longwood, the dedication of our staff will become apparent.

We have several programs and interventions in place to meet the needs of our diverse learners. Using the district's inclusive philosophy, special education students and bi-lingual students are educated with the general education students. We utilize our numerous support staff to do small group instruction and co-teaching within the classrooms.  Longwood uses formative assessments to make sure that students are making progress.

If you have the opportunity to visit us as the day starts, you will hear our mantra and experience our learning community. It is a great day to learn!
