One Book One School is Here!

Reported by donna_kouri@ipsd.org on 2/1/19

Today we kicked off our One Book One School program and celebrated World Read Aloud Day. What a fun day!! This year we will focus on people, especially young people, who have made a difference in the world. One such person is Malala Yousafzai. Each family will receive a copy of the picture book Malala's Magic Pencil. These are yours to add to your family library and should not be returned to school. We ask that you read it as a family once a week during our One Book One School program. Even though it is a picture book rereading it multiple times is a valuable activity. Each week will have a different focus for reading. You can check back on this website for each week's focus. This week is to read for enjoyment and information. Please check the Longwood One Book One School website (https://sites.google.com/a/ipsd.org/longwood-one-book-one-school/) for more information on Malala. Also, please mark your calendar for our One Book One School final celebration. This will be Tuesday, February 26 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. We hope to see you there!
